Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company has been conducting training for adolescent girls in schools on Menstrual Health Management.
The training had been conducted in a total of twelve schools since 2022.
The three-day training sessions include topics relating to menstrual health management, and actual training on production of reusable sanitary wear.
NWSC distributes the produced sanitary wear to the girls that are trained, as well as other vulnerable girls identified within the schools.
The following schools have benefitted: Chipata Lifesong, Mulenga Primary, Garnetone School, Mwekera Community School, Kamfinsa Mission, JohnKen combined, Kakolo Maposa combined, Salamano primary, Kamilulu primary, Bushfire primary and Musonda community. Eleven more schools will be added in due course.
